Ride our float!
Apply to be a princess or ambassador

We’re looking for Princesses/Ambassadors (in any combination of female/male) to ride on our float on New Year’s Day in the Rose Parade® presented by Honda!

This year we are looking for four (4) teenagers who will not only have the honor of riding on the Sierra Madre float and speaking to the Sierra Madre City Council and local service organizations and clubs, they will work during our deco week in our sales booth, may deco the float and help with publicity.

Applicants must be 15 to 18 years old, have a 3.0 grade average, and be a resident of Sierra Madre.  All applicants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (including a 2-week period following your final shot) and will be required to show your vaccination card or mobile vaccination record in order to enter our judging.  Covid-19 guidelines will be followed throughout our float season.

Princesses and Ambassadors must be available to participate in the speaking engagements and during our Deco Week (December 26 – 31).

Princess and Ambassador 2021-2022 application

Applications must be received in the SMRFA post office box or emailed to info2021@sierramadrerosefloat.org by Friday, October 8, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.  Applications may also be left at the float building (put in an envelope and slide under the door).   Applications submitted later than October 8th will not be considered.  Applicants must be able to attend judging interviews on the afternoon of Sunday, October 10th.  The Presentation of the Sierra Madre Royal Court will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at The SMRFA Barn, located at 587 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre.
